SONKEI PROJECT

The “SONKEI – Respect in sport, respect in life” aim is to prevent violence and intolerance in sport through education and promotion of values of respect, courage, gender equality, inclusion and non-violence. By doing this we intend to change the mind sets of people and initiate social change that will provide safer environment for everyone.

We must make more effort to educate people about the problem of violence and intolerance in sport and to implement practical strategies in grassroots sport organizations. With our project we will educate and inform sport professionals how to tackle the problem of violence and intolerance in sport in grassroots sport organizations and raise the awareness of violence in sport and violence in general in our societies.

The project is aware that the problem of violence and intolerance in sport is not properly addressed in the communities, so it want to make a difference.
